East Texas Jazz Orchestra is comprised of eighteen professional musicians who desire to entertain.  Our performance includes old 1940 style music up to some of the latest popular music.  We are proud of the big band jazz traditions we have inherited, and we strive to make each performance the best possible.

Many of the arrangements we perform are out of actual libraries of the Maynard Ferguson Band, the Doc Severinsen Tonight Show Band, the Count Basie Band, and the Stan Kenton Orchestra.  The arrangers include Lennie Niehaus, Jeff Tyzik, Tommy Newsome, John Bambridge, Dave Wolpe, the great Sammy Nestico, Steve Smitha, and several others.

The band uses 5 saxophones, 4 trumpets, 4 trombones, piano, bass, guitar, drums, and vocalist.  Most of these professionals teach music as well as perform.

East Texas Jazz Orchestra is available to perform for weddings, dances, parties, shows, and almost any special occasion.  We come dressed in tux and suits, or golf shirts...as you wish!  The band is self-contained except for chairs and electric outlets. The fee is less than you might think!
